Responsibility details are not available.
This is a two-part turned metal 8.8 cm Pak 43/3 L/71 gun barrel from the Polish maker Aber, intended to replace the plastic barrel on models of the German Jagdpanther tank destroyer in the Ausf. G1 late and G2 versions in 1:35 scale. The two-part design allows an exact fit and a perfectly straight long barrel with a faithful muzzle brake. The set as a rule combines turned metal parts with fine photo-etch.
The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panther tank. Its main weapon was the long 8.8 cm Pak 43 gun with a barrel length of L/71, which was among the most effective antitank weapons of the conflict. The long barrel is absolutely decisive for the silhouette of the vehicle.
Degrease the metal parts, fit both sections of the barrel together exactly and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer to the metal before painting so that the paint holds. The barrel is easier to paint and weather before it is fitted to the model.
This is a supplementary turned barrel, not a model of the vehicle. The base kit and paints are not included in the package.
