An injection-molded plastic kit of a two-axle German railway flatbed wagon of the Ommr type in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Dragon. The package is completed by figures of a machine gun crew and decals. The wagon is a rewarding base for a railway diorama or for transporting vehicles and equipment.
Freight wagons of the Ommr type were part of the ordinary rolling stock of the German Reichsbahn in the Second World War. Open flatbed wagons suited the transport of vehicles, guns and materiel and were fitted with features for securing the load. At the front they served for anti-aircraft and ground defense as well, which the machine gun crew in the set refers to.
Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement. It is advisable to paint the underframe and the deck before the assembly is closed up. Wooden surfaces come alive with glazes and a wash, and the metal fittings and axles with weathering from pigments and rust. Paint the figures of the crew separately and fit them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
