An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Pz.Kpfw. V Panther medium tank in the Ausf.G variant, early rendering, in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the characteristic features of late Panther production. The package holds injection-molded parts, decals and instructions; the exact contents and markings follow the particular release.
The Panther was among the most capable German tanks of the Second World War and combined heavy sloped armor with the long, high-velocity 75mm KwK 42 L/70 gun, which could destroy Allied tanks at long range. The Ausf.G was the last and most numerously built version; it brought a simplified and stronger hull with modified side plates. Early examples of the G variant still carried some features of the preceding production. Used from 1943, the Panther markedly influenced tank fighting on the Eastern as well as the Western Front.
Finish and paint the running gear, the wheels and the interior spaces before you close up the hull. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the joints carefully. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; for late German vehicles a three-tone camouflage suits well. Zimmerit texture, washes in the corners and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear give the model realistic weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
