The model comes as a classic injection-molded plastic kit; the contents of the package including the number of parts are stated on the packaging and in the enclosed instructions.
Field wagons of this type were among the most common and at the same time the least conspicuous equipment of ground units. An all-steel body with low side panels was tougher and more durable than older wooden construction, it took rough handling and it was easy to repair. The wagons carried ammunition, provisions, engineer stores and the wounded, and they moved behind a means of traction, whether motorized or a horse team. What makes them interesting for a modeler is precisely that this is everyday, ordinary equipment that lends a scene scale and credibility.
Small wagons of this kind have thin sections on the side panels, the drawbar and the running gear. Separate the parts from the sprue with a photo-etch saw or a very sharp knife and sand the sprue remains down, so that no edges are left. Finish and paint the load floor and the inside of the body before you close the wagon up. An airbrush with preshading suits the painting, because the flat surface of the body otherwise looks flat. What benefits the wagon most is weathering: dust pigments on the lower part, dark washes into the corners of the body and worn metal on the edges and in the places where it is loaded. You can add a load, a tarpaulin or crates to match the scene you are building.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
