The injection-molded plastic kit captures the Holt 75 tracked artillery tractor in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Roden. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and is meant to be assembled and painted by the modeler. The Holt tractor is one of the unusual and all the more interesting subjects of the First World War era.
The Holt 75 was a heavy tracked tractor powered by a gasoline engine, designed by the American engineer Benjamin Holt. The tracked running gear proved itself so well that the machine was built not only in the United States but was also copied in Europe. During the Great War the Holt 75 was used above all to tow heavy guns and loads over ground that wheeled vehicles could not reach. The design of the tracked running gear later inspired the development of the first tanks.
Separate the parts with a sharp modeling knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Assemble and paint the chassis and the running gear before you finish the hull. A faithful look is helped by an airbrush, a coat of primer and then washes and pigments to suggest mud and dust on the tracks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
