An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Type 73 Light Truck light off-road vehicle in its reconnaissance (Recon) form, 1:35 scale, made by Trumpeter. The set contains body parts with an open cargo bed, rubber tires with a tread pattern, photo-etched parts and decals; the model is built unassembled and unpainted.
The Type 73 Light Truck is a light off-road vehicle of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF), built by Mitsubishi from the 1970s. The vehicle serves to carry people and material and, in various forms, also carries support and weapon systems. The reconnaissance version is adapted for signals and scouting tasks.
Assemble the frame, the engine and the axles first, and only then the body. Glue the small photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. After the primer coat, choose an olive green or a JGSDF camouflage scheme; pick the edges out with a dry brush, bring the engraved lines out with a wash and add dust pigments to the wheel wells and the underside. The interior of the open cargo bed is on show, so give it your attention.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
