An injection-molded plastic kit of the American medium tank M4A1 Sherman in 1:35 scale from the maker Dragon. The M4A1 version is marked out by its characteristic cast rounded hull and is armed with a 75 mm gun. The set tends to be supplemented with photo-etched parts and suits modelers with experience of building armored hardware.
The Sherman was the most widespread American medium tank of the Second World War and served with the Allied armies on every battlefield. Compared with the welded hull, the M4A1 version had a one-piece cast hull with rounded shapes. The basic 75 mm gun was a universal weapon, effective against infantry as well as against lighter armored vehicles, and the Sherman stood out for its reliability and easy maintenance.
Finish the running gear and the lower part of the turret first, and only then close the hull. Join the plastic with a thin modeling cement and the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply the basic olive coat with an airbrush over a primer; the characteristic cast surface of the hull comes into its own once washes and pigments accenting the texture and the dusting have been laid on.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
