The real subject

The M4A3 was the version of the Sherman with a welded hull and a Ford gasoline engine. The designation 76 marks the rearming with a more powerful gun of 76 mm caliber in a larger turret, and W then marks the wet stowage of ammunition, which lowered the risk of fire after a hit. This version, committed from 1944, raised the anti-tank effectiveness of the Sherman against more heavily armored German tanks.

Building and painting tips

Assemble the running gear and the hull first, use thin modeling cement on the joints, treat the surface with a base color (primer) and apply the olive finish with an airbrush.
