A resin replacement hull from PANZER ART in 1:35 scale for the American M4A3 Sherman medium tank, made with improvised additional armor against high-explosive munitions. It is not a kit but a detail accessory. The hull captures the field fittings faithfully, the ones with which crews strengthened the protection of the vehicle: added plates, timber, track links or other improvised material.
The M4A3 was the American version of the Sherman with a Ford gasoline engine, widely committed in the later phase of the Second World War. Against the threat of antitank rockets, crews strengthened the vehicle on their own account with added protection of various kinds. These improvised fittings give a model an individual, combat-worn character.
Wash the parts free of release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a sharp knife and fit the hull to the rest of the kit. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding resin. The variety of the improvised material comes out in different shades, with washes and pigments for faithful wear.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, the glue or the paints. It is intended for completing a kit you already have.
