Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set for painting a plastic model of the Mercedes-Benz Typ G4 off-road staff car, carried under the military designation Kfz. 21, in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit and not a part of a model, but an aid that makes the precise spraying of the glazing and other small areas easier.
The Typ G4 was a large three-axle passenger car with a six by four layout, derived from the civilian Mercedes-Benz line and built in the 1930s in a small series. The military administration carried it as the Kfz. 21, that is, a heavy passenger car for staff service. In design terms it is a long ladder frame, a double rear axle and an open body or one covered with canvas. On a model the most demanding part is separating the frames of the windshield and the side windows from the body cleanly and masking the tires precisely when painting the rims.
Stick the glazing masks on only once the part has been cleaned of fingerprints and grease. Seat the popped-out masking part with tweezers, press the edges down and only then spray, always in thin layers. With the wheels, put the mask on the tire, spray the rim over and take the mask off while the paint has only just set. The body of this type has large smooth areas, so it pays to smooth the base beforehand and to spray at right angles to the surface, so that no differences in the saturation of the shade arise.
It is an accessory to a model, not the model itself. The kit and paints are not included in the package. Before you buy, check that the set matches your kit.
