Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Pz.Beob.Wg.II (Beobachtungswagen) artillery observation vehicle in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The vehicle came about as a conversion of the Panzer II light tank. The box contains photo-etched parts, decals and Magic Tracks; the barrel of the 2 cm cannon is molded with the bore opened up. The exact number of parts and marking options is not stated here.
The Beobachtungswagen was an observation vehicle for directing artillery fire, created from the chassis of the Panzer II. Its most striking recognition feature was the frame antenna at the rear and the equipment for long-range communication and target spotting. The vehicle kept its original armament — the 2 cm automatic cannon — so at first glance it resembled a combat Panzer II, while in reality it filled a signals and observation role. It was used above all with self-propelled artillery units, which it helped to spot targets and correct fire from a safer position in the front line.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the lower hull before finishing the superstructures. Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic, attach the photo-etched parts and the fine frame antenna with cyanoacrylate glue and be careful when handling the antenna. After the base coat and the gloss coat under the decals, bring out the detail with a wash and add dust and mud with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
