Metal track links 1:35 for the Pz.Kpfw I Ausf C (Vk.601) are a set of assemblable tracks in white metal for the German light reconnaissance tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling accessory, not a model in its own right. The set holds individual track links cast in white metal, which are assembled into a working track by joining them with the enclosed wire. Metal tracks replace the plastic or vinyl tracks from an ordinary kit and give a realistic weight and a faithful sag.
The Pz.Kpfw I Ausf C, carried through development as the Vk.601, was a German light reconnaissance tank of the Second World War period. Compared with the early Panzer I types it was given a new design with interleaved road wheels and torsion bar suspension, which allowed a higher speed. The vehicle was built only in small numbers.
The links are cleaned of casting remains, assembled with the enclosed wire and can be left to sag slightly; with interleaved wheels it is worth finishing the tracks before the running gear is closed up. The metal is treated with a primer before painting, and the tracks are then painted and weathered with washes and pigments.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a model in its own right. It does not hold the vehicle, glue or paints.
