Pmask 1:35 Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf.N, a masking set

This product is a modeling accessory, not a kit. It holds self-adhesive masking templates machine-cut to the shape of the parts of one particular plastic kit of the Pz.Kpfw. III tank in the Ausf.N version in 1:35 scale. Once applied, the masks protect the chosen areas from paint and they are lifted off after spraying, leaving a precisely bounded shape.

Use

• Clean dust and grease off the surface before applying the mask.
• Press the edges of the mask down carefully, otherwise paint creeps under and the edge blurs.
• Spray thin coats, because a heavy coat creates a visible step at the edge of the mask.
• Take the mask off soon after the paint has dried, using tweezers with blunt jaws.
• Let the previous coat of paint cure properly before masking again.

The real subject

The Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf.N was the support variant of the German Panzer III medium tank from 1942 and 1943. Its turret received a short barrel of 7.5 cm caliber, originally used on the early versions of the Panzer IV and on assault guns. It was therefore not a weapon for fighting tanks but a gun for fire support of the infantry and for destroying fortified positions. Some of these vehicles served with heavy tank battalions as escorts.

For modelers who build the Panzer III in the support version in 1:35 scale and want clean, sharp spray edges. It suits work with an airbrush and multicolor camouflage above all.
