An injection-molded plastic kit of the German prototype light tank destroyer Pz.Sfl.Ia in 1:35 scale from the German brand Das Werk. The model offers a finely rendered open fighting compartment, a newly designed 5cm Pak38 gun and link-and-length tracks. The package also holds decals for several marking options.
The Pz.Sfl.Ia was built on the basis of the Borgward VK3.02 light tracked ammunition carrier, on which a 5 cm anti-tank gun was mounted. The vehicle was meant to be a light and mobile answer to anti-tank defense. Only a very few were built for troop trials in 1942, after which the project was stopped, because the 5 cm gun was no longer enough against the tanks of the day. It is therefore an interesting rarity of the Wehrmacht.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the open fighting compartment, and only then close the hull up. Glue the link-and-length tracks with thin glue, section by section. After the base color is sprayed on with an airbrush, a wash and dust or mud pigments on the lower areas will add depth.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
