A plastic kit of a modern wheeled armored vehicle with drive to all eight wheels. According to the name it makes it possible to build the vehicle in the CM-32 or the CM-33 version, that is, two steps from the family of armored vehicles known under the name Clouded Leopard. The manufacturer AFV Club is based in Taiwan and has long specialized in home vehicles, so this is a subject you will practically not find elsewhere in 1:35 scale.
The CM-32 family is a wheeled armored personnel carrier developed in Taiwan as a complement to and replacement for older tracked carriers. The design builds on a welded armored tub, independent suspension of the wheels and steered axles at the front; the engine compartment is at the front and the troop compartment at the rear. The individual versions of the family differ in their body and weapon station, from a carrier with a remotely controlled light weapon to a vehicle with a turret with a cannon. Wheeled running gear gives a high transport speed on paved roads and lower demands on maintenance than tracks.
With wheeled armored vehicles the suspension decides the result: glue the arms and the axles on a flat surface and keep checking that all eight wheels sit in one plane. The tires are more comfortable to paint separately and to fit onto the rims only after those have been sprayed, or use a circular masking template. The large flat areas of the tub will stand out with pre-shading, that is, first the base shade, then a lightened spraying into the middle of the panels. Fit the optics and the headlights right at the very end. Finally a fine wash into the engraved lines, wear of the paint on the edges of the hatches and dry pigment in the wheel arches and on the bottom of the tub all sit well. Modern vehicles stand only restrained soiling, as overdone patina looks unbelievable.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
