An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-62 main battle tank in the Mod.1975 form with a KMT-6 mine plow mounted at the front, in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model is richly broken up and contains separate individual track links, photo-etched parts, steel cable and a choice of a plastic or a metal gun barrel. According to the instructions the KMT-6 mine plow can be added as removable equipment. The exact contents of the particular box are given in the instructions inside.
The T-62 was a Soviet main battle tank built from the beginning of the 1960s, which followed on from the widespread T-55. It was the first series tank to carry a 115 mm smoothbore gun, able to fire sub-caliber armor-piercing ammunition at high muzzle velocity. The form from the middle of the 1970s carried small upgrades to the equipment. The KMT-6 mine plow was a mechanical mine-clearing attachment fitted at the front of the tank, which as it advanced plowed up anti-tank mines and pushed them aside to open a safe lane for the equipment following.
Assemble and fine-tune the running gear and the lower hull before closing and painting; build the separate individual track links carefully. The mine plow at the front is a prominent feature, and it is exactly there and on the bow of the vehicle that heavy earth weathering shows. Enliven the single-color green finish with panel variation and a gloss coat under the decals. Weather the running gear, the plow and the lower areas with heavy dust and mud pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
