This injection-molded plastic kit from the maker Hobby Boss represents the Soviet ZIS-151 off-road truck with 6x6 all-wheel drive in 1:35 scale. It is a new tooling with a cab, a chassis and a cargo bed worked out in detail.
The ZIS-151 was a universal truck produced in the Soviet Union from 1947. It was the first significant postwar Soviet truck with all-wheel drive, and it replaced the older types as well as the American Studebaker vehicles supplied during the war. Tens of thousands of units were built in many specialized versions; the chassis also served as a carrier for the rocket launchers of the BM-13 Katyusha series.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the drivetrain before fitting the cab and the body. You will bring a single-color Soviet finish to life with shading of the surfaces, a wash and mud effects from pigments on the chassis and the tires. A colored base coat (primer) for plastic is worth using.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
