A set of self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale. The pre-cut masks help you separate the rubber tire bands of the wheels cleanly from their hubs, so that the paint creates a crisp transition without laborious covering up. This is an accessory which is applied to the parts of the base kit, not a model in its own right; the kit has to be obtained separately.
The Sd.Kfz.7/1 was a German medium-class half-track tractor of the Second World War on whose cargo bed the quadruple 2cm Flakvierling 38 gun was fitted. That gave rise to a mobile anti-aircraft gun which protected columns and units against low-flying aircraft and at a pinch engaged ground targets as well.
Stick the masks onto cleaned and degreased parts, press the edges down carefully and apply the paint in thin coats. Once dry, take the masks off carefully. For a faithful look, a matte period base complemented with weathering proves itself.
