The model captures the eight-ton half-track with the older Flak 37 gun, which is what distinguishes it from the version with the newer FlaK 43. The Sd.Kfz.7/2 was the anti-aircraft version of the eight-ton German half-track with a 3.7 cm gun on its cargo bed. This variant carried the older Flak 37 gun, which continued the proven range of 3.7 cm anti-aircraft guns and was loaded with ammunition clips. From the later period the vehicles were given an armored cab, which protected the crew against splinters and small-caliber fire. The crew consisted of several gunners and the vehicle carried a supply of ammunition.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, and assemble and paint the running gear and the gun mount before you finish the hull. The fine mechanism of the gun and the photo-etched parts call for care. Apply a primer and the paint with an airbrush; both gray and the later dark yellow camouflage can be used. Accentuate the engraving and the running gear with a wash and complete the dust and mud effects with pigments. The open mount and the armored cab offer room for accentuating the details.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
