A resin accessory from PANZER ART in 1:35 scale. This is not a model of the vehicle but a separate barrel with a cast canvas cover over the gun mantlet, of the kind Italian crews used to protect the moving parts of the gun from dust and from bad weather. The set replaces the barrel supplied in the base plastic kit and gives it a faithful fabric texture and a more accurate shape.
The Semovente da 75/18 was an Italian self-propelled gun of the Second World War built on the chassis of a medium tank. Its main armament was a 75 mm howitzer with a barrel length of 18 calibers, suited to fire support as well as to fighting armor. A canvas cover over the gun mantlet was common in the field.
First wash the part free of release agent residue, cut the casting block off carefully and sand the surface, with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The cast fabric comes out beautifully once it has been painted and given a fine wash or a dry brush to bring the folds out.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
