A set of masking templates for the model of the Soviet T-30 light tank in 1:35 scale, prepared for the Hobby Boss kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-30 was a Soviet light tank from the beginning of the Second World War, derived from the T-40 series of light tanks. It was a simple machine, quick to build, from a time when losses had to be made good in large numbers, and its spare construction is clearly apparent on a model.
The set is prepared for the kit in 1:35 scale from the Hobby Boss brand. The shape of the cutouts follows the parts of that very kit, so it need not fit a model of another origin. Against masking out with adhesive tape a ready-made mask has two advantages: it saves lengthy cutting and, above all, it gives the same result every time, which tells the moment the same edge is painted in several places on a model.
Apply the mask to a surface that is clean, degreased and completely dry, and always before spraying. Press the edges down carefully so paint cannot run under them. Apply the paint in several thin coats and direct it square to the surface rather than at a sharp angle, because from the side it gets under the edge more easily. Take the mask off as soon as the paint has flashed off; once fully cured it peels away less easily and may tear the coat beneath it. Lift it slowly and at a slant back over itself, not straight up.
The set suits modelers who build Soviet equipment in 1:35 scale and want sharp transitions with no laborious masking out, whether this is a first model or a tenth in a row.
The kit, the model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
