A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for building the model of the T-55 Enigma tank in 1:35 scale. The masks make the clean painting of the areas that are to stay free of paint easier and replace slow masking with tape. It is not a model of the tank but an accessory for painting; the basic kit has to be bought separately.
T-55 Enigma was the designation for Iraqi T-55 tanks fitted out with improvised add-on armor made of steel containers. This conversion appeared with Iraqi units at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s and became known from the fighting in the Persian Gulf. The angular add-on armor offers plenty of surfaces where masking pays off during painting.
Clean and degrease the surface before the masks go on. Move the parts over with tweezers, press them against the edges and spray in thin coats, so that the paint does not creep under the edge. Peel the masks off before the paint hardens completely, for the crispest possible transition.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
