About product

AFV Club 1:35 transport tracks for the Tiger I and the Sturmtiger

A set of individual-link running tracks in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. It is not a model of a vehicle but a standalone accessory — a collection of single links from which you assemble a workable (movable) transport track for the Tiger I heavy tank and the Sturmtiger assault gun.

The real subject and its use

The Tiger I heavy tanks had wide combat tracks, which went beyond the permitted loading gauge for rail transport. Narrower transport tracks were therefore fitted before loading onto a wagon, and the outer row of road wheels was removed. This set reproduces those transport tracks. The links drop into each other and stay movable, so that they can be given a natural sag over the running gear.

Who the set is for

  • For modelers of German heavy tanks in 1:35 scale.
  • For builders of scenes with the rail transport of equipment.
  • For advanced builders.

This is a standalone scale modeling accessory meant for completing an existing kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
