This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Mirror Models captures the Soviet armored T-20 artillery tractor, known by the name Komsomolets. The model is supplied as a set of parts to be assembled and painted.
The T-20 Komsomolets was a light tracked tractor developed in the second half of the 1930s for towing light anti-tank and infantry guns. Unlike ordinary tractors it had an armored cab protecting the driver and the commander, and at the front it could carry a machine gun. Seating for the gun crew on the rear deck completed the accommodation. The Red Army committed the vehicle widely in the first years of the Second World War.
We recommend assembling and cleaning up the running gear and the tracks first, and only then closing the hull. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, and use a sharp knife on the fine edges. Spraying a base coat and an airbrush have proved themselves; you will bring the typical Soviet green to life with a wash into the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
