A resin kit of the American M3A4 hand utility cart in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a combat vehicle but a small piece of equipment that turned up, in the field and in camp, everywhere a load had to be moved without an engine. Because of the material and the fine parts the build suits more experienced modelers.
The M3A4 handcart was a simple two-wheeled means of carrying ammunition, weapons and material by the strength of the crew. It was used by the infantry and by airborne units, where its low weight and the possibility of getting a load where a vehicle could not reach, or where none was available, were valued. The cart was pulled by hand by its drawbar, or hitched behind a light vehicle. In design it is closely related to the cable reel cart of the same family, with which it shares a number of parts.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water, otherwise the paint will not hold on the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, never break them off, and level the surfaces with a file while protecting your airways. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use a base coat before painting, then the olive shade. It is precisely on small equipment like this that more pronounced weathering looks good, because the cart was chipped, dusty and muddy in service. Deserve the wheels and the underside pigments in the same tone as the base of the diorama has.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
