A resin set of replacement wheels and tires in 1:35 scale for the American tactical vehicle of the LMTV range (M1082). It is not a model of the vehicle but a detail accessory that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit. The tires are cast with a realistic sag where they meet the road, so that once fitted the vehicle looks as if it really were standing loaded under its own weight. This is variant 1 with the matching tread. The wheels are intended for the Trumpeter kit.
The LMTV range (Light Medium Tactical Vehicle) forms the backbone of the light logistics of the US Army. These are modern tactical vehicles and trailers meant to carry cargo and supplies over demanding terrain. Faithfully rendered wheels with tread and sidewall markedly raise the realism of the finished model.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; do any sanding with respiratory protection. Paint the tires in a matte black-gray color, bring out the tread with a dry brush and add settled dust and mud with dust pigments.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
