An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Valentine infantry tank in its Mk.IV version, in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. The set holds plastic sprues, photo-etched metal parts, a turned metal part and a sheet of water-slide decals. The model stands out for its fine execution and the faithful rendering of the compact hull and turret of the Valentine.
The Valentine was a British infantry tank of the Second World War, valued for its reliability and its robust construction. The Mk.IV version was armed with a 2-pounder gun and powered by a diesel engine. A number of Valentine tanks were delivered to the Soviet army under Allied aid, where they proved themselves in the demanding conditions of the Eastern Front.
Finish the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull. The turned metal part for the barrel adds to the realistic look. We recommend thin cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. For period weathering, washes into the recesses and pigments for dust and mud on the running gear suit well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
