A multi-piece plastic set of miniature SH-60J Sea Hawk helicopters in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. It is not a large model in its own right but a supplementary set of small parts for filling the decks and hangars of warship models in the same scale. The parts are injection-molded in clear plastic and decals are usually included. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The SH-60J is the Japanese naval version of the American Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk shipboard helicopter, operated by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. It serves for anti-submarine warfare, patrol and rescue duties from the decks of destroyers and other surface ships. It is based on the proven Sea Hawk family.
The parts are very small, so use tweezers, a sharp knife and thin plastic cement applied a drop at a time. Glue the rotors and the landing gear with a light touch. For painting, choose an airbrush and thin coats so that the fine relief is preserved; pick the details out with a fine brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
