Responsibility details are not available.
A finished collector model of the prototype coupe UVMV GT of 1970, in 1:43 scale from the Czech brand Abrex. It is not a kit: the model comes out of the box assembled, painted and ready to display. The version 00 designation sets this finish apart from the sister finish of the same subject, which Abrex offers separately; these are two different finishes of one subject, not the same goods twice. With prototype and little known subjects the runs are as a rule smaller than with ordinary production cars.
The UVMV GT came into being at the Research Institute of Motor Vehicles as a study of a sports coupe from the start of the 1970s. Vehicles of this kind served the institute for proving design and aerodynamic solutions and for showing what domestic car development could do; they never reached series production. That is exactly why this is a subject you will hardly ever meet among collector models, and one that fills the gap in a collection of Czechoslovak cars between production models and racing specials.
Prototype cars stand or fall by the shape of the body, because as a rule they carry no pronounced printing or markings. In 1:43 scale the line of the coupe reads well, so the model deserves a place where it can be looked at from the side and from a three-quarter view, not only from the front. In a display case it suits standing it beside other Czechoslovak cars of the same format, where it stands out through its different shapes. Gloss paint attracts dust, so a closed case, the occasional dusting with a soft brush and a place out of direct sunlight pay off.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. It is not a kit, so you need neither glue nor paints for it.
