This is an aftermarket accessory, not a kit of the whole vehicle. The precisely turned metal barrel from the Polish manufacturer Aber is intended to replace the plastic barrel on models of the German Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger heavy tank destroyer in 1:48 scale. Metal holds a perfect round cross-section and a crisply shaped muzzle, which a plastic molding can hardly achieve.
The 128 mm PaK 44 gun was the most powerful anti-tank weapon to see series service in the Second World War and is the dominant feature of the Jagdtiger silhouette. A metal barrel gives the model realistic weight and exact geometry and removes the typical parting seam left by gluing plastic halves together.
This is a detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
