Aviattic: a five-color night lozenge for the upper surfaces, joined strips, 1:48: a decal sheet with the dark night version of the German polygonal camouflage, with the strips joined for fast laying onto the upper flying surfaces.
Responsibility details are not available.
An Aviattic decal sheet with the five-color night version of the lozenge pattern, intended for the upper flying surfaces. The strips of the pattern on the sheet are already joined, so you cover the larger areas of the wings and the tail surfaces faster and with fewer joins than when laying individual widths.
The so-called night lozenge was the darkened counterpart of the German preprinted covering fabric of the First World War. It was used above all on night bombers and long-range machines, where dark, low-contrast polygons were meant to reduce the visibility of the aircraft in searchlight beams and in moonlight. For models of night bombers this covering is an essential recognition feature.
Prepare the surface to a smooth gloss in a light shade. With large decals work with plenty of water: position the sheet loosely first and only then push the water out gradually from the center to the edges with a soft squeegee. Use a thin layer of softener on the raised detail and the edges. Once dry, add rib tapes from the matching sheet and fix the whole with a matte clear coat, because night machines tended to have a very matte surface.
This is a decal sheet, an accessory to a model. The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
