A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a faithful rendition of the landing flaps of the Japanese carrier-based fighter Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero Type 32 in 1:48 scale. The thin metal parts let the flaps be modeled as separate, finely structured faces, or shown lowered, which plastic parts cannot manage. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory for advanced detailing; the basic kit has to be bought separately.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero is a Japanese carrier-based fighter, a symbol of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service of the Second World War. The A6M3 Type 32 version was marked by shortened, square-cut wingtips and a newer engine. The landing flaps on the trailing edge of the wing improved handling on takeoff and on landing aboard a carrier.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them in a metal bending tool. They are glued with super glue, or with epoxy. Degrease the metal before painting and pull a primer over it.
This is a set of photo-etched parts, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
