A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for the early production form of the B-17G bomber, prepared for the kit from the maker HK Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress was a four-engine heavy bomber which during the Second World War carried the main weight of the daylight bombing effort of American units over Europe. The G version is recognized by the gun turret under the nose, which completed the defense against head-on attacks by fighters. Early machines of this version differ from the later ones in the form of the tail gun position and in the arrangement of the waist gun positions in the fuselage.
A decal sheet in 1:48 scale, prepared for the kit of the early production form of the B-17G from the maker HK Models. Which machines the sheet covers and how many subjects it carries are shown in the illustration of the sheet and in the instructions supplied with it.
Before you wet the sheet, verify in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive form; a self-adhesive film that has been wetted is ruined beyond recovery. With the usual waterslide decal, cut the subject out with a narrow margin, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest on a paper towel until the carrier film begins to move. The surface must be smooth and glossy, or a matte shadow will remain under the decal. Fine-tune the position with a brush and a drop of water, soak the surplus water up, and a decal softener will help the film to seat into the panel lines. Finally clear coat the area.
Paints, glue, clear and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
