Kabuki paper masks for a model of the Douglas B-26C-15 Invader in 1:48 scale, the EXPERT execution, tied to color scheme number 3.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Invader was an American twin-engine attack aircraft with piston engines, introduced at the very end of the Second World War. It originally carried the designation A-26 and after the war it was redesignated B-26 in the US Air Force; the nickname Invader sets it apart from the older Martin aircraft that had carried the same number before. It lasted unusually long in service and saw action in Korea and in Southeast Asia.
Masks cut from kabuki paper for a model of the B-26C-15 in 1:48 scale. Kabuki tape is thin and pliable, it will stand being led into a curve and when it is lifted it usually leaves no adhesive residue on the surface. According to its name the set is tied to color scheme number 3 and it carries the designation EXPERT, which distinguishes the scope within the line. Which areas this level covers and which scheme is meant are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The surface has to be dry, clean and degreased. Lay the mask down with tweezers and press it around its whole perimeter, and on curves lead it gradually so that it does not ripple. Spray the paint in thin coats. Lift the masks soon after the paint has dried, with a pull at a low angle, which on glazing reduces the risk of the paint lifting with the tape.
The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
