MASTER 1:48 pitot tube for the Hawk 100 series is a turned brass part that replaces the fragile plastic pitot pressure sensor on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an aftermarket metal detail part, not a kit. The precisely turned brass pitot tube replaces the simplified and easily damaged plastic sensor on a model of the BAE Systems Hawk 100 series trainer and light combat aircraft in 1:48 scale. The metal version is strong, sharp in outline and resistant to bending.
A pitot tube is a pressure sensor used to measure airspeed, typically placed on the nose or on a leading edge. On a model it is a prominent and easily seen detail, and this is where a metal replacement pays off especially well.
Drill a hole of the matching diameter in the part on the model and glue the tube in with cyanoacrylate. The brass can be roughened before gluing for better paint adhesion; it is painted according to the actual finish of the sensor.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
