Decals in 1:48 for the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 fighter from the period of the Battle of Britain. Five machines are offered, among them the aircraft of several commanders.
Responsibility details are not available.
The E-4 version was the peak of the so-called Emil series. Against earlier forms it received a differently shaped canopy with flat panels and carried two wing cannon whose barrels projected from the leading edge. It was in this form that the machines fought Spitfires and Hurricanes over the English Channel, and it is from this period that the most photographed examples with colorful personal markings come.
There are five aircraft. The best known belonged to the commander of a fighter Geschwader operating on the Channel coast in 1940. Another machine is dated 1941 and attributed to the staff of the third Gruppe of another Geschwader. The third aircraft, with the number one in yellow, belonged to the commander of the 9th Staffel and is set in the Battle of Britain. The last two were the personal machines of a Staffel commander and a Gruppe commander and their markings differ from each other in the color as well as the shape of the numerals.
Smaller markings of this kind appreciate two things: a smooth base and patience. Under the yellow and white elements we recommend laying clear gloss varnish, because on dark gray camouflage they would otherwise lose their brightness. Align the numerals on the fuselage by the panel lines and only then use a setting solution. If you are building a machine with a yellow nose, let the paint cure fully before applying them.
The item consists of a single printed sheet. Choose the fighter kit according to your own preference.
