A set of plant parts for dioramas and vignettes in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane or of a vehicle but an accessory with which you overgrow the edge of an area, the footing of a wall, a ditch or a forgotten corner by a hangar. The parts are precisely cut and supplied unassembled and unpainted, so both the height and the density of the growth depend on you alone.
Burdock is a tall herb with large heart-shaped leaves and hooked burs, typical of waste ground, field boundaries, the edges of roads and abandoned places. In a diorama it works as a reliable signal of neglected terrain: where burdock grows, nothing has been mown or tidied for a long time. In 1:48 scale its leaves stay large enough to be recognizable at first glance.
Take the leaves out of the sheet, clean the burrs up with a new blade and bend them over a soft pad before gluing, so that they do not lie flat. Compose the plant from the lower rosette upward and glue with gel cyanoacrylate glue. Paint over a thin acrylic primer: the middle of a leaf in a richer green, the edges lighter, and suggest damage and drying out with a brown wash. Set the finished plant into a pre-drilled hole and mask the transition to the terrain with soil, pigment or static grass.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
