A set of leaf parts for dioramas and vignettes in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane or of a vehicle but an accessory with which you add broadleaf greenery to a scene, whether as the crown of a tree above a dispersal area, as a branch reaching into the shot or as litter on the ground. The parts are precisely cut and supplied unpainted.
The chestnut is among the trees with large, readily recognizable leaves that were often planted in avenues, by farmsteads and along roads. It is precisely the large leaf that suits a modeler: even reduced to 1:48 it stays legible and guides the viewer at once to which tree it is. Leaf litter under a tree also raises the believability of a base cheaply and quickly.
Take the leaves out of the sheet, clean the burrs up with a new blade and bend every leaf lightly, so that it does not lie flat; in 1:48 scale that is the difference between a paper impression and a living one. Glue with gel cyanoacrylate glue to an armature of twigs. Paint over a thin acrylic primer and do not settle for a single shade: young leaves lighter, shaded parts darker, and for litter add yellow and brown tones. Unify with a thin wash and dust with pigment according to the season the scene depicts.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, the armature of a tree and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
