Responsibility details are not available.
A self-adhesive masking set in kabuki paper for a kit of the DB-26B/C aircraft in 1:48 scale. The masks are pre-cut to the shape of the glazing frames, so there is no need to trim tape while spraying and the edges stay crisp. It is neither a model of the aircraft nor decals, but an aid for painting. The set is listed at the BASIC level — with this brand that is the lowest of the three extents; a fuller EXPERT level is also made for the same subject.
The designation DB-26 belongs to the director variant of the twin-engine Douglas B-26 Invader. The letter D in the designation stands for director, that is a machine adapted for controlling unmanned target drones. The basic Invader was a fast twin-engine attack and bomber aircraft with a crew of three and a long service life. The director version differed from production machines mainly in its instrument equipment and antennas; as an airframe it was the same type.
First clean and degrease the clear parts, then stick the mask on and press the edges down with a toothpick. Spray in thin coats. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, not once it has fully cured; lift it with the point of a scalpel and peel it away at a sharp angle. On the cabin frames it is good to lay down the interior shade first and only then the external color — the frames then do not look translucent from inside.
This is a masking set, not a model and not decals. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. The masks are cut to the shape of particular glazing, so check the match with your own kit beforehand.
