This is a pack of accessories from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, not an aircraft model. The LööKplus range builds on the LööK set, that is on a resin instrument panel with color printing and a resin seat with molded harness, and adds further resin parts to them in a single package. On a biplane with open cockpits such an upgrade makes exceptional sense: the interior is visible from above the whole time, so the detail cannot be hidden under glazing. What this package holds is given in the list on the box.
The de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth is a British two-seat training biplane of the early 1930s. It was powered by an air-cooled inverted inline de Havilland Gipsy Major engine, which gave the type its characteristic narrow nose. The tandem cockpits are open, the wings have pronounced sweep and positive dihedral on both the upper and the lower surfaces. The aircraft served as the basic trainer of the Royal Air Force and of many other users; after its service life it reached civilian flying clubs in large numbers and is still flying today.
Wash the resin parts in warm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and sand the cut with your breathing protected. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting; resin does not hold paint without an undercoat. Do not varnish the panel with its printed dials, just put a spot of gloss varnish on each face. On a biplane, finish the interior, the rigging and the harness before closing the fuselage, and plan the order of work so that varnishing the struts and bracing does not clash with fitting the upper wing. Leave tensioning the bracing wires to the very end.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
