The decal sheet HAD models 1:48 Dornier Do 215B and Do 17S, part two completes the two-part set of markings for a model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models in 1:48 scale for a model of the twin-engine Dornier Do 215B and Do 17S. According to the name this is the second part of a two-part set. The sheet is intended for a finished, sprayed model, where it will replace or supplement the decals from a kit.
The division into two parts makes it possible to cover more patterns and the small technical lettering that goes with them, which would not fit on one sheet. Before you start building, go through the enclosed drawing and check which items the chosen pattern calls for and whether they are on this sheet or in its first part. A thin carrier film follows the engraving well.
The Dornier Do 17 was a twin-engine aircraft with a very slender fuselage, hence the nickname the Flying Pencil. It served on bombing and reconnaissance duties and became the basis of further versions. The Do 215 came from it but had liquid-cooled V12 engines, which matches a different shape of engine nacelle and better performance at higher altitudes. The Do 17S pattern was a reconnaissance one.
Varnish the surface with gloss clear coat first, otherwise air is trapped under the film and the decal silvers. Soak the cut-out decal briefly, move it into place once it releases from the backing and fine-tune the position with a damp brush. Soak the surplus water up and use a softener in the engraving. Once it has dried perfectly, unify the surface with a matte or satin varnish.
The package holds the decal sheet only. The model, paints and glue are not included.
