Montex 1:48 Do 17Z is a set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for a model of this twin-engined bomber - an accessory to the ICM plastic kit, not a model. It handles the extensive glazing of the front cabin.
Responsibility details are not available.
Pre-cut self-adhesive painting masks for a model of the Dornier Do 17 Z in 1:48 scale. The set contains no plastic parts and no decals and by itself it will not make a model - it is an accessory to a kit you have already bought, cut to the shape of its glazing.
The Do 17 Z was a twin-engined bomber with Bramo 323 radial engines. Against the older renderings with inline engines it was given a deepened and fully glazed front part of the fuselage, in which the whole crew was concentrated. The aircraft kept the slender fuselage and the high aerodynamic cleanliness that gave the previous renderings a nickname based on the shape of the fuselage. The structure was all-metal with a retractable undercarriage and a pair of vertical tail surfaces.
On a glazed nose the cleanliness of the work decides more than on a fighter, because the interior is visible through many areas at once. Before sticking the masks on, therefore wash the transparent parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and dry them only by blotting them into a paper towel, not by wiping. A fingerprint under a mask will show as a milky patch once the spraying is done, and it can then no longer be removed other than by polishing. Handle the parts in gloves or with tweezers. Static electricity also attracts dust - blow the piece off just before masking and cover it straight away. Spray the frames with the interior shade and then with the external camouflage coat.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, which it does not contain. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
