The set offers color three-dimensional elements of the cockpit interior in 1:48 scale for a model of the F-CK-1 aircraft, a Taiwanese single-seat fighter. The elements are printed and are supplied finished in color, so you do not have to paint them in. Which parts of the cockpit the set deals with and which kit it is cut for are stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
The elements of the QD line are printed on carrier decal paper. The phrase on decal paper in the name therefore holds literally: the piece is cut out of the sheet, soaked for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and after a moment slid off the paper into place. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as the chemistry would attack the printed resin.
The elements have no adhesive layer of their own, so clean the place of fitting, sand the plastic relief that the element is to replace smooth and go over the area with gloss clear of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type. Carry the soaked elements with fine-tipped tweezers and do not touch them with your fingers, as prints stay on the colored surface. Align the position while the element is damp, then press it down gently and in broken-up places help it along with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue.
The set will be appreciated by modelers who want to have the cockpit finished quickly and in color, without having to pick the instruments out laboriously with a brush. The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
