1:48 F9F-2P Panther EXPERT kabuki masks

New Ware F9F-2P Panther EXPERT kabuki masks 1:48

The most complete level of painting masks from New Ware in 1:48 scale. The kabuki masks of fine washi (rice paper) tape follow the shape of the part exactly, come off easily and leave no adhesive. The EXPERT level covers the inner and outer framing of the canopy glazing including masks for the sealant color and the inner masks, and further the wheels, the landing lights, the anti-glare area ahead of the cockpit and other small areas that need to be separated by color. It is an accessory for painting, not an aircraft model.

The real subject

The Grumman F9F-2P Panther is the photo-reconnaissance version of the carrier-based Panther jet fighter of the US Navy from the early 1950s. The straight-wing aircraft proved itself during the Korean War on both combat and reconnaissance sorties from the decks of aircraft carriers.

Use

• Lift the mask off the sheet, set it exactly and press it down on the part
• Apply the paint in thin coats against bleeding under the edge
• Remove the masks shortly after the paint has dried
• They allow a clean separation of the canopy, the wheels and the small areas

Who the set is for

• For demanding builders of jet aircraft in 1:48 scale
• For modelers who want complete masking with no compromises
• For a build painted with an airbrush
• For enthusiasts of naval aviation hardware

This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The paints, the glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
