A resin figure from Aerobonus, made by Aires, in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a standalone figure of a fighter pilot with which you can complete a diorama or a display case holding a fighter model of the Second World War. The figure is cast in fine resin with a carefully worked face and equipment.
The Normandie-Niemen fighter regiment was a unit of Free French airmen who, after the fall of France, fought on the Eastern Front alongside the Soviet Air Force. They became known above all for flying Yakovlev fighters, on which they scored a series of aerial victories between 1942 and 1945. The figure captures a pilot in period flight gear.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully separate the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. For a lively look, a base of acrylic primer and shading of the face and uniform with oils or acrylics works well.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
