Resin figure German and Austro-Hungarian fighter pilot of the First World War (1914-1918) in 1:48 scale from Aerobonus. A figure to be painted, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a Central Powers fighter pilot of the First World War, in a version that suits both the German and the Austro-Hungarian air services, in 1:48 scale from Aerobonus (the Aires range). It is not an aircraft model but an accessory figure meant to be painted and placed beside a period model or in an airfield scene.
Central Powers pilots in the years 1914 to 1918 wore the distinctive kit of the early era of flying: a leather jacket, a helmet with goggles and a scarf. The figure suits biplanes and fighters of the First World War period and gives a diorama the period atmosphere of the first air combats.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the joints with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the figure before assembly; primer works well, along with warm leather shades on the jacket and helmet, matte cloth and the face brought out with a dry brush and glazing.
The figure is supplied unpainted and cast in resin, meant to be glued together and painted. Paints, glue and a display base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
