A basic photo-etched set for the cockpits of German aircraft in 1:48 scale from Brengun. It is a universal accessory to a kit you have already bought, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts intended for detailing the cockpits of models of German aircraft in 1:48 scale. Unlike sets tailored to a single type, this is a universal basis that can be used on several models according to what needs completing in the cockpit. The designation basic indicates that the set deals with the usual interior features rather than a complete rebuild of the cockpit.
It pays off mainly on older or simpler kits where the cockpit is skimped and no specialized accessory is made for it. The universal parts are used where the shape does not depend on the type of aircraft, that is above all on seat belts, small levers, handles and sheet metal braces. The rest the modeler makes up themselves. Because the set is not cut for a particular kit, reckon on having to place the parts from documentation and on some of them staying unused: that is normal with universal sets and in fact an advantage, because the remainder goes on the next model.
Photo-etched seat belts look best if they are pressed flat and bent slightly before gluing so that they drape loosely over the seat; metal suits this better than paper belts, because it keeps its shape. Degrease the photo-etched parts first and spray a base coat, otherwise paint will not hold. Paint small parts while they are still on the fret and cut them off only just before gluing. Bond with super glue drop by drop applied with a wire. Finish everything that belongs in the cockpit before you join the fuselage halves.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
