Decals 1:48 for three jet Meteor F.4 aircraft: two British ones in a silver finish and one Danish one in camouflage.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Gloster Meteor was the only Allied jet aircraft to make it into combat service in the Second World War, and immediately afterward it became the backbone of British fighter defense. Version F.4 received more powerful Derwent engines and a shortened wing. It was with it too that in 1945 and 1946 the British attacked the world speed record, which made the type a name far beyond the borders of Europe. The designations Mk.IV and F.4 belong to the same version; they only come from different periods of British terminology.
The sheet offers three machines. The first belonged to No. 263 Squadron of the Royal Air Force and in 1950 flew in a purely silver finish; the second served with an advanced flying school two years later, and yellow training bands, which are sprayed on the model, belonged to its look. The third aircraft was Danish, carried a number on the fuselage and a green and gray camouflage with a light lower surface, that is, a treatment the British machines of that time did not have.
An imitation of bare metal is the hardest surface a modeler can choose for a decal. Polished metal shades do not take much water or rubbing, so seat the printing at the first attempt and blot the water off by touch rather than by dragging. Anyone who wants to make the work easier clear coats the areas under the designs with clear varnish and, once dry, evens the surface out with a thin layer of the same varnish again.
