The fabric cockpit seatbelts HGW 1:48 Hawker Hurricane replace plastic or decal belts with faithful fabric parts of microtextile with photo-etched fittings.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail set of cockpit seat belts, not a model of the airplane. It replaces flat plastic or decal belts with parts of real microtextile completed by photo-etched buckles. It is intended for models of the British fighter the Hawker Hurricane in 1:48 scale.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter of the Second World War and, together with the Spitfire, formed the backbone of the defense during the Battle of Britain. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine and carried an armament of machine guns in the wings. Its structure partly used a traditional framework covered with fabric, which made it tough and easy to repair. In its cockpit the seat belts were a conspicuous detail.
Choose the shade of the belt, cut the parts out along the marked line with a sharp knife and then shorten them to the length needed. Work the fabric briefly between your fingers so that it takes on natural folds, and thread it through the photo-etched buckles. Glue with PVA glue (white glue) and do not use super glue or any other aggressive glue, which could damage the fabric or the plastic.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as an accessory to a base model.
