This is a resin detail set that replaces the control surfaces on a plastic kit of the Ilyushin Il-10 attack aircraft. The set contains faithfully cast ailerons, an elevator and a rudder with finely suggested fabric and metal skin, which can be fitted in a deflected position to bring a model to life. The parts refine an area that injection-molded plastic usually simplifies.
The Ilyushin Il-10 is a Soviet single-engine attack aircraft of the end of the Second World War and the successor to the well-known Il-2. It was designed for attacks on ground targets and carried armor protection for the crew. It was built in large numbers and served with a number of users after the war as well.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue and cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. Carefully separate the original plastic surfaces and fit the new ones at a natural deflection angle; paint the transitions and blend them with the surroundings.
